iPhone Warcraft Characters 1.0.1 update submitted to App Store
Just posted a quick update for Characters (hopefully app store will be quick with approving it), with following bugs fixed:
- Support for EU, KR, CN, and TW realms.
- Bug fix when spaces are used in realm names.
- Bug fix when accented characters are used in character names.
My apologies to EU users for missing these - I woke up with 20 emails telling me about EU server support, and there ya go.
Thanks to all who posted the feedback! It’s a very exciting day - Characters was intended as my first iPhone app, a playground to learn to code in Cocoa, and look where it got… I’m suspending my iPhone game project until I get the Characters to be an awesome app it can be. Or Blizzard releases WoW client for iPhone.
Here’s what’s coming:
- Rework the UI - when I expand the app with more features, I want it to keep it simple and clean, so I need to update the current layout.
- Reputation, items, talents, and so on. For now, I’m looking at items and rep for next release, since lots of people would like to see items, and I’m a rep junkie. My main is exalted with 5 main factions.
- Realm status… not! I want Characters to focus on… well, characters, and not overcrowd it with every wow feature out there. There is realm status app on the iPhone App store, and it does it’s job quite well.
